Why us?

At Peckwater Brands, our people mean everything to us, so it’s important that we have a great company culture that allows everyone to thrive and be the best that they can be. We aren’t hierarchical, everyone has a voice and everyone’s voice matters. The company values are super important to us; we help each other, act fast to make things happen and celebrate our milestones.

We’re Growing
Peckwater Brands has grown from strength to strength over the past two years. The company is constantly growing. From launching our first site in June 2020, we have grown to more than 1000 virtual restaurants. We have recently launched in the US and UAE, with a view to expanding into Europe. The team is always growing and searching for new talent, if you believe this is you please take a look at our open roles!

What it’s like to work here

Peckwater Brands is a dynamic, fast moving and rapidly growing startup with a friendly and supportive atmosphere. Our Co-Founders Leo and Sam are approachable and never too busy to help any member of staff, no matter how small the project. We have regular excursions for drinks, dinners and activities. These activities are always some form of game - be it virtual reality or electric gamebox - and invariably end up becoming extremely competitive with our co-founders at the helm.

What we stand for
Always champion the customer.
We start with the customer and we work backwards. We work tirelessly to earn and keep customer trust. We never compromise if it puts this trust at risk. We pay attention to competitors, but we focus on the customer.
Act like an owner.
At PWB each of us acts like we own the business. We never say “that’s not my job”, we act in the long term interest of the entire business, not for the short term interest of our own team.
Have high standards and hold people to them.
Our job is to amaze our customers, every day, without fail. This means continually raising the bar, having unreasonably high standards, and never letting a problem get passed down the line.
Maximise your impact and deliver results.
Each of us delivers on our KPIs, and that means hitting the right level of quality and being on time. We’re not busy fools, and we focus on what will have the greatest impact. We consistently rise to the occasion.
Details matter.
Be on top of the details - know your numbers. Always stay connected to the details, be sceptical of those that aren’t, and operate at all levels, all the time. No task is beneath us, no data point is ignored.
Act fast and make it happen.
Speed matters, action is necessary. You won’t always get it right, but you can’t always wait for clarity. We accept calculated risks and we believe that action is always better than inaction.
Improve and simplify what we do.
We never stop optimising what we do, and simpler is better. We aim for simple, efficient solutions and we kill it if it’s too complex. We innovate at speed to reduce operational burden and improve profits.
Hire and develop the best.
Every hire raises the bar, and we promote exceptional talent. We move people willingly and quickly across the business to where they’ll have the biggest impact. We don’t respect ‘industry knowledge’ or ‘connections’, we respect talent and results. We work on ourselves, and we strive to be better each day.
Earn trust.
We listen to each other, we’re honest and straightforward in our feedback, and we treat each other with respect. We’re vocally self-critical, even when doing so is awkward or embarrassing. We compare ourselves and our team against the best.
Help each other.
Take time to help each other, we’re bigger than the sum of our parts. Our success is built by the people we work with and taking time to help each other makes us stronger. It’s the right thing to do.
Celebrate milestones.
At PWB we recognise personal and professional victories and we celebrate them. We know that every win matters - every success is another brick in the wall. We recognise and learn from mistakes.

Speak out, then support the decision.
Everyone at PWB is tenacious, and if we disagree with a decision then it’s our duty to respectfully challenge the team, even if it’s uncomfortable or exhausting. Once the decision is made though, we back it up.

Win with data.
At PWB we move fast and sometimes this means relying on experience and hypothesis. That’s okay. But when someone brings valid data to the debate, this wins.
Put profit before ego.
This team wants to get rich, not famous. We don’t need train station billboards to know our self-worth - invest only where the data tells you to, don’t waste money, and never chase vanity metrics.
Accomplish more with less.
Limitations breed innovation and resourcefulness. There are no prizes for spending more money, hiring more people, or going with ‘that’s a standard expense’. Be thrifty, save the pennies.
